Baptism

At baptism, you are welcomed into the community of God’s people who will help you understand and share what it means to be loved by God. After baptism, the infant Christian will grow and mature in faith only if there is support, example and teaching from parents, godparents and the wider church family. We therefore encourage families of children who have been baptised, and those who have been baptised as adults, to get fully involved in the worship and life of the church. When possible, we hold baptisms during normal Sunday morning services so that the church family can welcome and get to know new members.

To be baptised in any of the Postlebury Churches you either need to live in the Parish of Postlebury or have a connection to any of the churches. For more information about what baptism (also known as christening) involves see www.churchofengland.org/life-events/christenings or contact our vicar, Anthony Dickson at nunney.rectory@gmail.com. There is no fee for a baptism, but donations to support the work of the church are welcome.
