Church Services

The church services in the Parish of Postlebury include a communion service every Sunday at one of the five churches.  There is also a service elsewhere in the benefices at a different time each Sunday to Postlebury.

First Sunday 09.30 at Wanstrow

Second Sunday 11.00 at Witham Friary

Third Sunday  at 09.30 at St Leonard’s, Marston

Fourth Sunday at 9.30 am at All Saints Church Nunney, alternating between Morning Worship and Holy Communion each month and at 11am at Cloford Church, alternating between Matins (BCP) and Holy Communion.

When there is a fifth Sunday there is a Combined Benefice Communion service at one of the eight churches.

The communion services are based on Common Worship with some local preferences.   There is also a BCP (Book of Common Prayer) communion service every Friday morning at 10 am in Nunney.

Other Services

Second Sunday of month:   Soul Food  – an informal evening services held at 6.00 pm alternating each month between Nunney and Stoke St Michael

BCP Matins held in Cloford Church on alternate months at 11 am.

Additional services which are often more family-friendly are held from time to time on feast days (such as Christmas) and for special events in most of the Postlebury churches with varying degrees of formality and liturgy.

There are organs in each church and ad hoc choirs are formed to perform during services.  We also enjoy hosting concerts and other musical events.
